Zoe-perry

Perry was born July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first TV roles were two appearances as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on The ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mom. However, her parents did not permit her to perform until she reached the age of adulthood because of the negative effects that stress could affect their child. Perry claims she never wanted to perform in high school, but she decided to begin performing as a form of social interaction at Northwestern University when she switched to it from Boston University. Perry was able to land tiny TV roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. The feeling of homelessness, however, led her back to California and she returned working in the stage. Perry starred with her mother as part of The Other Place at Broadway, back in 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie as well as Kevin McKidd. This was presented at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. She had a regular role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal, starring her dad. She was also cast in the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger than Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. She got the part in an audition that was open despite being a fan of the character.
